When I’m not coaching, you can find me doing my hobbies, one of which is oriental dancing.
I love that because it gets us women into our feminine energy, and it’s pure art.
It’s also not as easy as it may seem from the outside.
Sometimes, you might look at belly dancers and think they’re not doing much, but in fact, belly dancing requires a lot of core muscles and techniques, so it’s more challenging than you might think.
It’s also a wonderful form of self-expression.
Every time I go to a belly dance class, I feel refreshed.
I feel excited, I feel alive, I feel artsy, and I recommend it to get out of your head, into your body, and just enjoy beauty in movement.
How did it all start?
During the time I was in middle school, I visited a foreign country for the first time.
I went to Turkey with my family, and a friend of my dad was also there with his daughter.
We went to a traditional Turkish restaurant, which held a program with a belly dancer and a dervish, and after the show, they had a contest for the visitors.
I was mesmerized by how beautiful the dancer was, how beautiful the dance was, and I was really excited.
I love moving and always have, so I participated and gave it my all.
Of course, it was all very amateurish, but they gave me a prize and I just felt so, so happy! That’s when I knew I would love to do this more. 🙂
And that’s why later on, in my adult life, I signed up for belly dance classes.

I must also say that a big part of why I keep going is because of the teacher, because she knows how to set the scene, set the mood.
She is very welcoming, and even though she’s a professional with years of experience, she’s not intimidating.
She empowers each and every one of us to be our best selves and continue advancing at our own pace.
So, if you make a mistake, you are encouraged to continue and try again until you get it, which is very inspiring to me.
I love being around those types of people and that energy.
I’m grateful and very excited to do this.
